AI image generators you can use free October 2026

Daily limits, watermarks and who owns the picture, read on the pages of 24 AI image tools. Some free plans keep your images public, and some keep the rights.
Checked by hand on 16 October 2026, on each company’s own pages.1 of 74 have moved since, re-checked 21h ago.

The short answer
If you read nothing else, read this.
- Most free images a day: Bing Image Creator gives 15 fast creations a day, then keeps going slower, up to 200 prompts in 24 hours. Krea gives up to 50 a day on its fastest model, Recraft up to 30, SeaArt about 21.
- Google's Nano Banana is free in Flow: the Nano Banana 2 Lite model costs no credits, and you get 50 credits a day for the others.
- No account at all: Raphael (no limit on its basic model) and Fotor. Both put a watermark on free images.
- Free in apps you already use: ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and Meta AI, which also works inside WhatsApp and Instagram. None of them says how many images.
- Free, but not for business: Recraft (it owns your free images), Krea, Dzine, Raphael and Freepik.
- Public by default: on free Leonardo, Ideogram, Recraft and Dzine, anyone can see what you make.
- Not free: Midjourney has no free trial, and FLUX from Black Forest Labs is pay per image. Clipdrop lists text to image for Pro but does not say in words if free accounts get any.
I read the pages of 24 image tools. Free is easy to find. Free and yours is not.

How we checked
Every fact here comes from the company’s own page, with the sentence it is in. The facts checked for this guide show the day we read them. The tables come from our catalogue, which re-reads each price page on its own. When a page does not say something, we write that, and we never guess. How we check
