Free image to video AI October 2026

Free credits, watermarks and who may use the clip, read on the pages of 18 tools that turn a photo into a video. Runway, Pika, Luma and Grok list no free way to animate a photo.
Checked by hand on 16 October 2026, on each company’s own pages.1 of 114 have moved since, re-checked 23h ago.

The short answer
If you read nothing else, read this.
- Free every day: Google Flow gives 50 credits a day (about 4 clips of 8 seconds at 720p, by our math), PixVerse 30 a day plus 60 to start, Leonardo 150 tokens a day. Vidu, Dreamina, Adobe Firefly and Meta AI give daily credits but do not say how many. Kling gives free credits but does not say how many or how often. invideo refills every Monday.
- No watermark: Adobe Firefly says it adds none to any video. Google Flow always adds an invisible mark; the visible one is a switch you control, except in India, South Korea and Vietnam, where it is always on. Most others put a mark on free videos.
- Free once: Hailuo gives new users welcome credits that expire after 3 days.
- Nothing free for a photo to video: Runway's free plan lists images and voice, not video. Pika gives 0 credits a month, Luma has no free plan, Higgsfield gives no credits, Grok lists video on its $30 plan, Krea's free plan runs 0 video jobs, and Sora closed on April 26, 2026.
- Free on your own computer: Wan 2.2 is open code. It turns an image into a 720p video on a graphics card with 24 GB of memory, and its makers claim no rights over what you make.
I read the pages of 18 photo to video tools. Free is easy to find. Free with no watermark is rare.

Can ChatGPT's Sora turn my photo into a video for free?
No. OpenAI closed the Sora app and website on April 26, 2026, and the Sora API on September 24, 2026.
How we checked
Every fact here comes from the company’s own page, with the sentence it is in. The facts checked for this guide show the day we read them. The tables come from our catalogue, which re-reads each price page on its own. When a page does not say something, we write that, and we never guess. How we check
